In 1991 Stanford Newman formulated the brilliant idea for an exceptionally premium high end cigar to celebrate J.C Newman Cigar Co. 100th Anniversary. As a culmination of his 50 years in the cigar business, he created the smoothest, most flavorful bodied cigar. These are mild-medium bodied cigars featuring a rare 5 year aged & fermented Connecticut Shade leaf wrapper or a U.S Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro wrapper. Diamond Crown cigars are rare due to the unique multiple step fermentation processed tobacco used; that gives the Diamond Crown Robusto Connecticut Shade an excellent draw of smooth earthy flavors and a sweet rich finish with hints of nutmeg & toasted spices, while the Diamond Crown Maduro offers a smooth flavorful mild to medium body cigar filled with smooth rich & sweet leathery, toasty flavors with hints of molasses & licorice in a short earthy finish.
